Both Iribarren and Yoshida have been elected for a three-year term and will play crucial roles in the ongoing development and growth of AlmaLinux OS. Iribarren, a systems engineer at CERN, brings a wealth of technical expertise and knowledge to the board. Meanwhile, Yoshida, who leads open source adoption at Cybertrust Japan and drives the development of MIRACLE LINUX, will provide valuable insights into the needs and interests of Japanese users.
The announcement, made on December 19, 2023, marked the conclusion of the 2023 election. These new board members join the organization at an exciting time, with the AlmaLinux OS community continuing to grow and gain traction as a powerful, stable, and free Linux distribution.
